Contributing to a green and sustainable society with 100% renewable and subsidy free energy from solar power
Vandel III is one of the largest solar parks in the Nordics and has been developed and financed by Infranode on the former NATO airfield in central Jutland, Denmark. The project demonstrates how existing land can be repurposed for large-scale renewable energy generation.
The solar park is fully subsidy-free and produces approximately 160 GWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to power around 36,000 Danish households. It spans more than 180 hectares, equivalent to over 250 football fields.
Infranode owns 90% of the economic interest in Vandel III and has a long-term partnership with Unity Power, responsible for construction, operations, and maintenance. Infranode working actively with the investment with a strong focus on revenue optimisation, power price strategy, and continuous sustainability improvements.
