Creating long-term value

Delivering essential infrastructure investments that support society now and in the future

Bridging the Nordic gap

In the Nordic region, there is a significant and long-term investment need in infrastructure that is expected to exceed 600 billion Euro over the next ten years. The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKL) estimates that SEK 85 billion will be co-financed in infrastructure from municipalities and county councils until 2025, while total municipal costs are estimated to exceed revenue by SEK 47 billion by 2020. We believe that one part of the solution is to allow local and trustworthy investors to participate in investments in existing and new essential infrastructure—creating long-term partnerships that are profitable and sustainable for our society.

Our unique model for responsible investments

Infrastructure is not just another kind of asset to invest in. It is the foundation for society and for every citizen's well-being. Infranode has developed a model for infrastructure investments that guarantees long-term improvements and value for every stakeholder.

ESG in the investment phase

Full review followed by integration of identified ESG factors into the general investment analysis and improvements in the long-term business plan.

ESG under our ownership

High commitment where we as shareholders on the board, both from majority and minority positions, take responsibility to implement the ESG factors in our business plan in cooperation with other owners and senior executives so that we continuously improve the sustainability of the underlying investment.

ESG Collaborations

Infranode is a member of several organizations that work together for sustainable investments, such as PRI, SWESIF and LTIIA.

We have developed our own in-house tool that makes sustainability a natural part of our overall analysis of a potential investment. Our starting point is simple and clear: it is not possible to distinguish sustainability issues from the general financial analysis of risk and return. An otherwise seemingly attractive investment is not attractive to us if there are sustainability risks that are not identified and managed correctly.
