A municipal electricity distribution and district heating company in the Kainuu region
Loiste is a Finnish integrated energy company whose core operations are focused on the Kainuu and Northern Ostrobothnia regions. Based on network length, Loiste owns and operates the sixth-largest electricity distribution network in Finland. In addition, Loiste supplies district heating in the city of Kajaani, serves approximately 60,000 customers, and owns around 100 MW of fossil-free electricity generation capacity.
Infranode owns Loiste together with the City of Kajaani, the Municipality of Sotkamo, and a fund managed by Vauban.
