Vandel III – One of the largest
solar parks in the Nordics

Contributing to a green and sustainable society with 100% renewable and subsidy free energy from solar power

Vandel III is a solar photovoltaic park under construction on central Jutland, Denmark, converting an obsolete NATO airfield to what is expected to be one of the largest solar parks in the Nordics and Europe.

The solar park will be 100% subsidy free and deliver an annual production of c. 160,000 MWh while providing ca. 36,000 households with green electricity. In total, the solar park covers an area of more than 180 hectares or 250 football fields.

The construction of the new park started early 2020, and Vandel III is expected to be completed in the winter of 2021/2022.

Infranode owns 60% of Vandel III and has a partnership with BeGreen who manages the construction, operations and maintenance of the solar park.
